Canada celebrates Christmas on December 25. One of their holiday traditions are sending Christmas cards to family and friends. Another tradition is many families have cookie baking parties. In Labrador, the city holds a Christmas light up contest. The whole town is filled with lights. A final tradition is having a huge feast on Christmas Eve. In Canada some people speak French so they say "Joyeux Noel" or Merry Christmas. Santa is called Santa Claus . A funny fact is a tradition called belsnickeling where people dress in funny Santa suits! Many Canadians open their gifts on Christmas eve.Some only open their stocking on Christmas eve. Some only pick one gift then wait for Christmas to open the rest. Some foods eaten are lobster, chicken bones,and stew-ragout made out of pig legs. Yummy!!
