Christmas in Mexico is celebrated from December 12th to January 6th. One of the foods eaten during Christmas is the three kings cake. In Mexico Santa is called Santo Clos. In Mexico you say 'Feliz Navidad for Merry Christmas. Christmas trees are becoming more popular in Mexico, but the most important symbol is the "naciemento", the nativity scene. In Mexico presents may be brought by baby Jesus or Santo Clos. One tradition in Mexico is to set off fire works on Christmas eve. Another tradition celebrated is to hide a figure of baby Jesus inside a cake and whoever finds Jesus is the godparent that year. A third tradition is for people to pretend to be Mary and Joseph. When someone answers their knock they pretend to be the inn keepers . One more tradition Mexico celebrates is the Candlemas on the second day of February. It is a religious mass that marks the end of Christmas celebrations.
